Let’s talk about Citizen Science….

Michael Strähle & Christine Urban / Wissenschaftsladen Wien – Science Shop Vienna are giving a presentation related to their work in CS Track at the 2020 edition of the EASST/4S conference. The title of this fully online conference is “Locating and Timing Matters: Significance and agency of STS in emerging worlds” and it runs from 18 – 21 August. It is organised by the European Association for the study of science and technology (EASST) and the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S) which represents academics and researchers in the fields of science and technology studies and brings together a variety of disciplines including natural science/engineering and social sciences. The title of Christine and Michael’s presentation on 18 August is “What Do We Talk About When We Talk About Citizen Science? Findings From A Literature Review and Expert Interviews” and in their talk they will present their preliminary thoughts on developing a framework for identifying, describing, categorising and investigating citizen science projects.
