One-in-ten U.S. adults say they have taken part in citizen science activity in past year

According to a study carried out recently by the Pew Research Center in the US, one out of 10 adults say they have taken part in an activity classified as citizen science in the past year, and a whopping 26% say that they have taken part in at least one such activity in their lifetime. The way the center reached this conclusion is by combining responses to three questions to better capture the range of citizen science activities. This study also found that younger people and those with a postgraduate degree were more likely to have participated in some kind of citizen science activity. Read the results of the study here.
