Research into using citizen science to study urban green spaces published

A new research paper entitled “When It Rains, It Pours: Integrating Citizen Science Methods to Understand Resilience of Urban Green Spaces” was recently published. Researchers used citizen science methods to assess flood mitigation potential of urban green spaces in three European cities, namely Birmingham, London, and Chantilly (France). They found that involving citizen scientists in this research project was not only beneficial to the scientific community but also to local residents who could take actions to improve infiltration in their local areas.
